Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is the name of the play we went to see a few days ago. We caught the bus at 10 a.m. and moved to a theatre inside a school -which was a bit far away from ours- where it was meant to be played.
There were four actors; two women and two men, who happened to be the only characters. In fact, they had some different characters each, but it was easy to understand when the change of roles had happened. The play started with one of the girls’ speech, who was holding a mask.
The costumes, the sound, the lights and decoration in general were good. Actually, we had to imagine nearly every detail. But they did well, as they were very expressive, and they spoke loud and clear. We had read the book before, so we didn’t really find any problem to understand it.
When the play finished, we had the opportunity to speak with the actors, so we asked them about their effort, and many things about their work in general. We spent the whole morning there, so when we went back to school,it was nearly the time to go home.
